This textile is from the Study of Sky and Clouds Series. The garden slows down when the air is colder and the days are shorter. A new season brings gorgeous skies.

I began this series of textiles as soon as the weather changed. The series is about studying the sky.

I’m weaving with a mix of yarns weights from different small shops I’ve been lucky to discover in Philly, NJ, and NYC. For lovely clouds, the bulkier the yarn, the better.

What I love about working with yarn is the strength and flexibility the material gives me. They’re sculptures. The material is very forgiving and depending on the project, it can hang, fold, roll, or be functional.
